Committees and COmmissions

Worship and Music

Worship and Music is responsible for planning and implementing our worship services. They  work with the pastor to plan special music, worship schedules, and how we worship. They meet on the 3rd Sunday at 1:00 pm

Mission and Community Outreach

This Mission and Community Outreach Commission is charged with the promotion and development of interest, participation, and support for the mission of the church and its social witness, locally and world-wide. They meet on the 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 pm 

Spiritual Formation

Stewardship and Finance

Spiritual Formation is responsible for fostering the faith development of all ages by providing various opportunities for spiritual growth. They also coordinate outreach and support for guests and new members, maintain membership rolls, and direct publicity regarding Westminster. They meet on the 1st Sunday of each month at 11:30 am. 
The Stewardship and Finance Commission is responsible for the creation and oversight of the budget and the financial program of the church. They meet on the Thursday before session at 7:00 pm.

Building, Environment, Security, & Technology (BEST) 

Personnel 

Nominating 

BEST is responsible upkeep and maintenance of the church and its assets. They also make decisions about church use by outside organizations. They meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 8:30 am.
The Personnel Committee is charged with providing counsel and support in those areas affecting persons employed by the church, including the development of policies and procedures for persons employed by the church.
The Nominating Committee is elected annually by the congregation and prepares a slate of candidates for election to various offices that is representative of its membership. They present elders, deacons, treasurer, financial secretary, auditors, and the next years nominating committee. 

Matthew 25

 Westminster  become a Matthew 25 church in September of 2021. In doing so we now have a committee to focus on Building Congregational Vitality, Eradicating Systemic Poverty, and Dismantling Structural Racism. 

CODA 

The Commission on Diversity and Allyship (CODA) is charged with ensuring that all who seek to develop a faith in Jesus Christ are welcomed and encouraged to fully participate.
