Session is the main governing body of the church, made up of the church Elders. The session meets monthly to discuss upcoming events, church management, and other various topics important to keeping the church running. Elders serve three year terms and serve as members or chairs of our various commissions and committees.
The Board of Deacons is called to a ministry of hospitality and service to the members of Westminster. Each Deacon is assigned a parish, divided up alphabetically, and is a resource for church members in that parish. The Deacons assist with hosting church receptions and plans congregational events.
Commissions and Committees each hold responsibilities of various parts of ministry. They are typically chaired by a current member of session and are made up of congregants interested in the work of the committee. Some committees are elected by the congregation.
